62nd annual Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant July 29-30 | Events
The following is a press release from the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant:
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Prepare yourself for a magical experience as young women from across the state compete for the title of Mississippi’s Miss Hospitality 2011 on July 29-30 at the Historic Saenger Theater in Downtown Hattiesburg. “Mississippi Magic” will set the stage for the 62nd Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant complete with live entertainment and a magic show guaranteed to thrill the crowd.
Famed Magician, Nathan Kepner, will entertain the audience while 28 of Mississippi’s best and brightest compete for more than $100,00 in scholarships and prizes and the opportunity to represent Mississippi as a Goodwill Ambassador. Alyssa Lomas and Jonathan Brannan are the Pageant’s featured musical entertainers.
During the pageant week, local Miss Hospitalities will take part in rehearsals, tours, interviews and special events as they prepare for the two nights of competition. Last year, twenty-nine young ladies from across Mississippi graced the Saenger stage during the pageant week. Jordan Whittle, representing Hattiesburg, won the title and during her reign has traveled over 30,000 miles to promote economic development and tourism for Mississippi. Most recently, her travels took her all the way to New York to celebrate the 32nd Annual Mississippi Day in Central Park.
Tickets for the 2011 Pageant are now on sale and can be purchased at the Saenger Theater Box Office at 601.584.4888 or online at www.HattiesburgSaenger.com. Tickets are $20 for premiere reserved seating and $15 for general reserved seating. Two-night ticket packages are also available.
