Local 4-H District Beef Judging Team | Events
The following is a press release from the Wayne County 4-H Group.
Alex Crocker, Cheyenne James and Abbey Hudson, Wayne County 4-H members, recently participated in the Southeast District 4-H Livestock Show where they judged beef cattle.
The team judged Hereford Heifers and Angus Heifers and had to give reasons on the Angus heifers. They placed 6th as a team in the district contest.
Alex is the son of Lanette Crocker and Willard Crocker, a 7th grader at Beat Four School, and has been a member of Wayne County 4-H for 4 years. Cheyenne is the daughter of Ken and Cindy James, a 5th grader at Waynesboro Middle School, and this is her first year in 4-H. Abbey is the daughter of David and Angela Hudson, a 7th grade homeschool student, and has been active in Wayne County 4-H for 4 years. All three of these youth are also members of Cedar Ridge 4-H Shooters in our shooting sports program.
Livestock judging is just one of the many 4-H projects available that youth ages 8-18 can participate in. There's something for every interest. And best of all, there's no enrollment fee and no required uniform. To find out more, call your local 4-H office. In Wayne County that's 601-735-2243.
